Apple's iPod and the future of media

apple ipod

Most importantly, what Apple is actually an iPod? Well, its digital media player or portable MP3 player. The word iPod is now so widespread that it is really necessary to declare it not. In fact, iPod sometimes used as a generic term for an MP3 player itself is in the Hoover brand detergents seen as a generic term for vacuum.

In 2001, Apple was the first iPod was released. Since then, there were over 100 millionSales of iPods in the world. E 'in conjunction with the iTunes software, which is a sort of jukebox computer, but also used integrated with purchasing and downloading music. In my opinion what really is the iPod as well as other portable media players. ITunes has really revolutionized the way music is purchased. Sales of singles in Britain has declined significantly until iTunes was released. Songs now No. 1 on the UK charts selling just to get downloads, even before a single released. This means that bands no longer need to get a record deal, a number one single. Look at someone like Gnarls Barclay and their single 'Crazy'. This was the number 1 UK singles chart from downloads alone.

A look at the history of iPod that has seen many changes, there is now an iPod Shuffle with no screen, thumbnails, ideal for sports, iPod Classic, which looks very similar Indeedin the style of the original, now also plays videos, movies and games and comes with an enormous 160 GB hard drive, the great revolutionary Apple iPhone, the phone combines a camera, media player, phone, Web, Touchscreen and more follow up on the iPhone was the iPod Touch, which I think is just an iPhone without the phone, and some other useful features such as full Internet access. The iPod nano is now on its third incarnation, withmodified at any time for a fresh look and more features.

The penetration of the iPod in our culture is such that now places such as hospitals (such as the Glasgow Royal Infirmary) offer podcasts as a means of providing training material. Students can also get some lectures on a podcast.

What does the future hold for your iPod or other "pod" products? Apart from the obvious smaller, cheaper, lighter, with more memory on board, I'd like a more integratedThe concept of the iPod and iTunes at home, iTunes is the center of an entertainment hub for the home. I imagine that this center as a broadband connection, taken with a large screen TV, hi fi, downloadable movies, TV shows on demand, along with traditional TV. I think this is what is given to a more integrated approach to media literacy and the way to the final consumer.
